The Ottawa Architectural Conservation Awards presented an Award of Excellence to Greenhouse Engineering for its work on the Rideau Hall Ceremonial Greenhouses.
The award states: "This project is an outstanding work of heritage engineering, landscape restoration and rehabilitation. The challenges of the project were met with a thoughtful respect for the heritage attributes of the Palmhouse and the other greenhouses in the complex."
Alex Turkewitsch is a member of the Greenhouse Colocation Working Group of the Resource Innovation Institute (RII). He was recently involved in the publication of the Group’s 2025 document, “Connected Agriculture: Best Practices for Greenhouse Colocation & Resource Sharing”.

Alex Turkewitsch was recently a member of the Canadian Council of Academies’ Expert Panel on Atypical Food Production Technologies for Canadian Food Security.
